There is some problem in whois server side (CENTOS Linux) implementation which causes hang of the whois process with 100% cpu usage... it happened sometimes, but then it caused big issues on the server side. If there will be fix for this, it will be enabled again

Every application has specific combination of features, user interface...... if you are happy with Process Explorer then there is no need to change it. It's great piece of software. 

I experienced this issue twice in my life...in both cases it was caused by unreadable sectors on hard disk. Please check the hard disk for errors.

We have computer with same configuration here...but no luck with invoking this issue.
